Lavender Pig, also known as LP grew up in a small town in California. When he was just a young teenager the factory sent him to Albuquerque, NM. Shortly after his journey to NM he was placed on a shelf at a local Walgreens pharmacy. Not too long after being on the shelf a sweet young lady by the name of Miss Sandra Ward saw him sitting there and instantly fell in love with him. This was the start of Miss Sandra Ward’s and LP’s friendship.
Over the next 10 years LP joined Sandra on a number of wild adventures galivanting all across the United States, Australia, New Zealand and the Cooks Islands. The two have become close friends.
On November 11th, 2018 tragedy struck. Sandra was walking down the strand in Hermosa Beach near 8th street when LP fell out of her backpack into the sand. LP hit his head on the fall, knocking him unconscious, and thus he was unable to call out letting her know he had fallen. About 10 minutes later Sandra noticed that Lavender Pig was missing. She instantly turned around and ran back to where he could have fallen, asking everyone around if they had seen the cute little lavender pig. Some had seen him, but by the time Sandra made it back he had vanished. It was a very tragic day. Our hopes and prayers are with LP, and we hope that whoever picked him up is giving him the same love and attention that he once had with Sandra.
Sandra still misses LP, very terribly, to this day and hopes that one day he will return. She has posted missing piglet postings on Craigslist and local LA lost and found sites.
